Week 5

Th
is week is the fifth week of school, as assignment two was submitted last week. So, it also means that we are officially stepping into assignment three as well. During the tutorial session, our tutor explained to us in more detail the main content and task requirements of assignment three.

About assignment three is that each of our students each student will be assigned to an era/period from the 20th century (1900 to present) choose a period and research its fashion background and influences such as history, society and culture. We were asked to produce work in the style of an infographic poster. And I was assigned the 1910s.I have divided this assignment into three parts, such as looking up information, then coming up with an informational poster and then putting all the information I have looked up into the informational poster. By researching the background of 1910, I found that fashion at the beginning of the decade retained elements of the previous decade and that the era could be divided into two distinct fashion eras: pre-war and wartime. In the middle of the decade, the First World War swept through the Western world, and fashion, like other aspects of society and culture, was severely affected by the war. This led to a slowdown in fashion changes and a shift toward minimalist style.

And this week I finished gathering all about all the things that happened before World War One. And I intend to successfully complete the rest of the collection next week!
