Week 1
Fashion Studies
Week one
It's a new semester, and I'm back on campus for a new learning adventure. This week marks the start of the new semester, as well as the end of my foundation in design course. My first Fashion Studies class is today, August 29th. Fashion Studies is one of my course's options, and I chose it because I knew I wouldn't be able to study fashion in depth thereafter. As a result, I decided to take advantage of this opportunity to learn more about fashion and improve my clothes aesthetics.
I was actually extremely anxious at the start of the semester because not many majors in my Feb entry class took this selection. This meant that I'd be in a class alongside folks who were enrolled in other classes during another enrolment month. But, fortunately, I had some terrific friends who joined me in this elective. My lecturer is young and attractive, and she spent the day explaining to us what Fashion Studies is all about and what we have to achieve this semester.
This class is primarily about understanding the fundamentals of fashion, which means we won't be doing any hands-on tailoring in the projects, which I find pretty disappointing. As I was looking forward to being in a fashion classroom before this, and I hoped to learn some tailoring skills through this study opportunity. But it didn't matter because it wasn't inefficient, and without this session, I wouldn't have had the opportunity to study the fundamentals of fashion. Meanwhile, in order for us to get to know each other better on this day, our tutor urged us to begin by introducing ourselves. After that, we played a quick game.
After learning about all of the assignment briefings that come with this subject, I was actually rather concerned towards the end of the day. I had long admired the outfit, but I had never taken the time to learn more about it. I hope that this chance will allow me to investigate the aesthetics and beauty of fashion design, as well as learn more about designers from many nations and their works. I'm hoping to keep up with fashion trends as well.
