Week 11

 WEEK ELEVEN

We are now in week 11 and last week all of us finished our designs and colors. So, this week our teacher took us to the fabric store. I think it was a great experience and activity because it allowed us to get a closer look at clothing. We met at a shopping center called Sogo at around 10:30 in the morning. At first, I decided to take Grab but the price was increased to about RM60 during peak hours, so I decided to take the MRT. After everyone arrived, our teacher took us to a fabric store that was all about selling clothes. So, the store was selling all the materials, decorations and fabrics needed to make clothes. Our task for the day was to find the fabrics and decorations for the costumes we designed last week and buy or photograph them. Since we had very little fabric to work with, our group decided to take pictures instead of selling them. This time, these costume stores were really eye-opening for me because I thought that I would not have much chance to go to these places before! We went to a number of stores, one of which was close to having four to five floors. Any style and material of fabric is sold inside. That's where I found the fabric I wanted to use for my design. After making sure that I had collected all the fabrics, we went home.
